Parameterising the Human System
The 3rd HESCOR Workshop will take place from November 25th to November 27th, with a focus on technical perspectives related to human-system processes, their parameterization, and practical modeling approaches. This workshop aims to examine the dynamics of interactive processes across various scales to enhance understanding of the complexities within human systems.
The first day of the workshop (November 25th) will include presentations from invited external experts, who will provide insights and practical knowledge through keynote lectures, followed by discussions. These sessions are open to the public, with prior registration required. To attend the first day of the workshop, please confirm your participation (in person or online) by sending an email to Dr. Isabell Schmidt by November 11th.
Keynote Program November 25th:
10:30 | Prof. Axel Timmermann, IBS Center, Korea (online): Understanding Human Evolution in the Context of Past Climate Change |
12:00 | Dr Nataša Djurdjevac Conrad, Zuse Institute Berlin, Germany: Unraveling the Complexity of Ancient Societies: Agent-Based Modeling of Human Dynamics and Cultural Evolution |
